This time of year can be difficult to eat healthy when we’re tempted with all of the delicious holiday foods. Amiright??? The Thanksgiving leftovers are gone and I’m ready to get back to healthy eating. This Asian flavored meal is not only delicious and packed full of healthy ingredients, but it can be made within twenty minutes. It is not a new recipe, but it’s new to live here on the blog! I make this at least once a week so I hope you enjoy this quick and easy meal!
Another perk of this Everything Soyaki Salmon, is that the entire meal only requires a few ingredients, all which can be found at a single grocery store, Trader Joe’s! What’s not to love? If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, you can still make this with similar versions of most of these ingredients.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this meal:
- Wild caught salmon (check out this blog post for tips on buying salmon)
- Soyaki marinade from Trader Joe’s (swap with a Hoisin sauce if not shopping at TJ’s)
- Cruciferous crunch from Trader Joe’s (swap for sliced Brussels if not shopping at TJ’s)
- olive oil
- Everything but the bagel sesame seasoning
- Cous Cous
- low sodium chicken broth
Equipment needed to make this meal:
- 1 foil lined baking sheet
- 1 pot for CousCous

What is cruciferous crunch?
I often get this question because of the name… Cruciferous crunch is a blend from Trader Joe’s made up of kale, brussels sprouts, broccoli, green cabbage and red cabbage. This is one of those Trader Joe’s specific items that I have not seen at other retailers. If you find a similar product elsewhere, let me know in the comments below!
Cruciferous crunch is good raw with some salad toppings and dressing but when you’re burnt out on salads, I recommend roasting it in the oven like I did here!
All you need to do is line a baking sheet with foil. Add your cruciferous crunch, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with everything but the bagel. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 15-20 minutes!
TIP: Make sure you don’t over crowd your baking sheet otherwise the mixture will become soggy rather than crispy!

I hope you enjoy this quick healthy meal. It’s on my rotation at least once a week because it’s that easy!

How much Soyaki do you put on the salmon? The whole bottle?
Hi Carter! I use 2-3 tbsp per individual piece of salmon. Enough to coat the salmon, but not enough for it to swim in! 🙂
Costco carries a large Sweet Kale Salad kit (same ingredients) .You can use greens for this recipe and the rest in kit with cranberries, nuts and poppyseed dressing for salad another night.
I make this all the time with cauli rice! LOVE IT
