  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey cooked and drained
  • 1/2 can refried beans
  • 1 package lower sodium taco seasoning mix
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 cup Mexican blend cheese
  • 2 packages refrigerated crescent roll dough reduced fat

Optional Toppings

  • lettuce shredded
  • tomato diced
  • onion diced
  • pitted black olives sliced
  • salsa
  • sour cream or nonfat plain greek yogurt
  • shredded cheese
  • guacamole
  • hot sauce
  • pico de gallo


  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a medium bowl, combine meat, seasoning mix, water, and cheese. Mix until ingredients are combined.
  • Arrange crescent triangles (wide end) in a circle on a 13-inch round baking stone or cookie sheet, with the bases overlapping in the center and the points facing the outside. It will kind of look like a sun with hole in the middle.
  • Using a tablespoon, scoop meat mixture over the overlapping crescent roll bases. Fold points of the triangles over meat filling and turn under the base in the center.
  • Bake for 20-25minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven, slice and serve with desired toppings!
