Easy dog-friendly ice cream to celebrate your dogs birthday

Number boards are all the rage in the cheese world so I had to do a dog safe version for Bella’s 12th Birthday! But we didn’t stop there…

Homemade DOG SAFE peanut butter, banana frozen yogurt – She loved this birthday treat!

Spoiled rotten and wouldn’t have it any other way! 🙂

First, let’s talk about these cute ceramic dishes.

Ceramic “1-2” Number Board:

She ate all of the treats in the ceramic dishes besides the rosemary garnish – LOL what can I say? She’s a smart girl…

One of the most frequently asked questions is how I get her to sit so still for these photos. My answer? It’s the hat. She hates wearing the hats and turns into a statue when I put it on her head. It always makes for a few good photos before she scratches it off. Sometimes if I’m lucky, she’ll get so focused on her bday treats that she’ll forget I’m making her wear something on her head.

Just like the cookies , the ice cream cone was simply for photos. These are full of sugar, which is not the best option for dogs. I let Bella take 1 bite for a photo and then I removed the cone so she didn’t get sick. I’m pretty sure she would have eaten the entire cone if I would have let her.

The frozen yogurt is made of all natural ingredients so that both humans and dogs can enjoy. I definitely tasted the ice cream. It’s wasn’t terrible, but for me to actually enjoy it, I would need to add some dark chocolate chunks, which of course, are not dog friendly. 🙂

Xylitol is toxic to dogs. Be sure to read the labels of your peanut butter, honey, and maple syrup labels to ensure this ingredient is not included.
