I can’t believe I have a teenager!! Bella’s 13th-ish bday was a breakfast in bed celebration with homemade pumpkin waffles. I’m lucky to have gotten a few pictures because she scarfed an entire waffle down as quickly as I set the plate in front of her! 🙂

This is the waffle maker I used to make these waffles. This waffle maker has a light that tells you when they’re done cooking, so it does all of the work for you!
Dog-Friendly Toppings:
- blueberries
- strawberries
- bananas
- peanut butter
- dog treats

In case you’re crazy enough to celebrate your dog’s gotcha day like me, here are the items I used in this post:

Side note: I had to include the pill box in this photo because it’s part of her daily routine… regular day or not. Bella has arthritis (just like her momma) and also has what is called focal seizures. She’s on her fair share of daily meds, but for being 13-ish she’s still got her regular dose of nightly zoomies.
Her vintage coffee mug with dental bones says “The secret of staying YOUNG is to find an age you really like and stick with it” TRUTH!

I hope your dogs enjoy these waffles as much as Bella did! She even shared some with her cousin Steve… the golden retriever. He enjoyed them just as much! 🙂
Just imagine birthday if I had human kids… YIKES – HA!

What is (1 unsweetened apple sauce)??? 1 tsp? 1 cup? Thanks!
Hi Nikki! I just used 1 of the plastic applesauce containers. I think it’s about 4-5oz.
How long do the waffles stay good?
Hi Robin! I kept them in an air tight container in the refrigerator for 3 days. They may last longer, but all the dogs in my family ate them up! 🙂
