The Best Fruit Salsa with Homemade Cinnamon Tortilla Chips

Love at first bite is most definitely a vibe and this fruit salsa is just that. This fruit salsa is a nice balance between tart and sweet. Want to know the best part? It is naturally sweetened by the fruit itself. This is the perfect snack to celebrate Galentine’s Day or any other get together in between.

What to serve with Fruit Salsa?

Homemade cinnamon sugar tortilla chips:

Don’t overthink these homemade tortilla chips. They’re simple to make at home and a great way to involve your kids in the kitchen. Store them in an airtight container for up to a week.

Here’s what you’ll need:
Here’s what to do:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Using a cookie cutter, cut out heart shaped tortillas.
  3. Spray both sides with cooking spray.
  4. Mix together cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle on top of one or both sides of tortillas.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 4-5 minutes watching carefully so they dont burn.

Every time I make this salsa, people are shocked to find out that there is no added sugar!!! Even more of a reason to try this recipe at home. What’s better than healthy delicious snacks?

What fruit should I use?

I like to use a balance of tart vs. sweet vs. citrusy as well as varying colors. Here’s what I use:

Tip: If your fruit is too tart, you can add a tsp of sugar, but if making this in season, then this step definitely won’t be required.

Storing the fruit salsa:

This fruit salsa is best served when fresh. The natural juices of the fruit can make this salsa soggy if it is made too far in advance. It is best made 30 minutes before serving for the freshest flavors.
